Hackathon: Medicine Meets Innovation

 Hackathon Format & Timeline 

1. Theme Release – 1 Day Before Conference

Participants will receive a carefully crafted theme or problem prompt 24 hours before the

hackathon begins. This ensures a level playing field and allows teams to prepare

strategically.

2. Innovation Sprint – 6 Hours On-Site

On the designated hackathon day, teams will work intensively for 6 hours to brainstorm,

plan, and create a working draft, prototype, or conceptual model of their solution.

During this phase, they will briefly present their idea to the organising team.

3. Final Submission – By Midnight

After the initial sprint, teams may continue refining their projects off-site. All final entries

(prototype, workflow model, app mockup, etc.) must be submitted electronically by

midnight.

4. Final Pitch & Judging – Conference Day

On the main day of ICHPER 2025, each team will formally pitch their idea and present

their final prototype/model to an expert panel of judges. Winners will be recognised

during the closing ceremony with prizes, certificates, and potential mentorship

opportunities.

 Who can Participate: 

1. Open to students from all disciplines: medical, dental, allied health, biomedical sciences,

computer science, and engineering.

2. Teams of 3–5 students are encouraged (interdisciplinary teams will receive bonus points during

evaluation)

3. No coding experience is required: conceptual prototypes, app demos, educational designs, and

system models are all welcome
