RESEARCH FEST'22

Introduction;

Research Fest'22 marked a pioneering milestone as an exceptional event hosted at Shaikh Zayed Hospital Lahore on the 16th and 17th of August 2022. The event was thoughtfully orchestrated by the Khalifa Scientific and Research Club, in collaboration with The Department of Public Health and Community Medicine and SZGPMI, making it an outstanding endeavor in the realm of medical academia and research.

Over the course of two days, the event resonated with an impressive turnout of more than 700 passionate medical students and postgraduates hailing from 13 esteemed medical institutions across Pakistan. The program encompassed a diverse array of activities, including enlightening scientific oral presentations, engaging poster talks, informative booths, and an enjoyable fun fair, all meticulously designed to foster knowledge exchange and promote a spirit of camaraderie among the attendees.

Scientific Oral Presentations

"The scientific oral presentations, recognized as the foremost means of disseminating and showcasing research at the conference, garnered significant interest and participation. A total of thirty research papers from ten reputable medical universities were eloquently presented in four distinct plenary sessions, with the winners of each plenary being individually recognized and announced.

Scientific Poster Presentations

During the research fest, the poster talks were divided into two prominent categories: Research Proposal Posters and Research Posters, each offering a platform for scholars to showcase their innovative ideas and findings. Over the course of two days, a remarkable total of 46 posters from 12 esteemed medical universities were presented, underscoring the event's success in attracting diverse and compelling research contributions.

KSRC Quiz Competition

KSRC conducted a quiz competition in collaboration with MEDANGLE. Our Quiz Competition was the perfect opportunity to showcase the expertise of participants across a wide range of research. Beyond the thrill of competing, the Quiz Competition offered a fantastic chance to learn something new. Our carefully crafted questions kept them engaged and entertained throughout the event

Informational Booths

At the Research Fest, we offered an array of informational desks catering to the diverse needs of medical students. These desks served as valuable resources, providing guidance on essential aspects of research, study designs, research ethics, and the art of quality scientific publishing. In collaboration with the Department of Statistics at Lahore College Woman University and Lahore Business School, University of Lahore, we set up a Statistical Consultancy Desk. This desk was designed to offer personalized consultations to fest attendees, empowering them with valuable insights and support for their research endeavors.

Funfair and Refreshment

A fun fair with food stalls and different games was also set up for the attendees. The proceedings of the fun-fair stalls were donated to the Patient Benevolent Society of Shaikh Zayed Hospital.
